🏙️ Albemarle Invites Residents to “Envision Albemarle 2045” Open House
The City of Albemarle is inviting residents to learn more about Envision Albemarle 2045, the city’s updated comprehensive land use plan, during two upcoming open house sessions.
📅 Thursday, October 23rd – City Hall Council Chambers
- Session 1: 1:00 PM – 2:30 PM
- Session 2: 6:00 PM – 7:30 PM
Both sessions will cover the same material, and residents only need to attend one.
Brittani McClendon, Albemarle’s Interim Planning Director, said:
“We’re looking forward to welcoming our residents and showing how their input has been incorporated into the city’s comprehensive land use plan. This plan wouldn’t be complete without their voices.”
Over the past several months, city staff and volunteers have gathered input from more than 700 residents through surveys, neighborhood meetings, and interactive exercises. That feedback helped shape the draft plan, which is available for public review at albemarlenc.gov/future.
The open house will give residents a chance to explore the draft plan and provide feedback on:
- Residential and business growth
- Transportation and connectivity
- City services
- Environmental sustainability
The Envision Albemarle 2045 plan serves as a 20-year road map to guide land use, development, and infrastructure decisions across the city.
